Day 01: Arrive to Lima

Transfer to the Casa Andina Hotel Lima.

Day 02: Lima - Paracas

Bus from Lima to Pisco and Paracas (200 Km.). Visit to the Paracas National Reserve. Accomodation in Paracas Hotel.

Day 03: Paracas - Nazca

Visit to the Ballestas lsland. Visit to lea. Visit to Nazca. Flight over the famous "Nazca Unes". In Nazca, visit to the Chauclillas Cemetery and the Cantayoc Aqueducts. Accomodation in Casa Andina Hotel Nazca.

Day 04: Nazca - Areguipa (568 Km.)

Bus from Nazca to Arequipa along Panamericana Road. Visit to Puerto lnka 1 O Km. before Chala.

Day 05: Areguipa

Three hours tour in city of Arequipa:

  • La Compañía church, with his impressive baroque style and his monastry, which was entered by the young men willing to become priests.
  • Plaza de Armas, with his Cathedral of an outstanding classic style front. After entering the Cathedral, we will admire his french style pulpit, big size belgian organ and italian decoration.
  • Santa Catalina Monastry. Here you will visit the most famous constructions of the Colony made for women, who wanted to become nuns. lt is a city in miniature.

Day 06: Arequipa - Chivay (194 Km.)

Boarding the bus. Four hours trip along the road heading to the Colea Valley. Five stops during the trip:

  • First stop: National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas, a place where you can observe the famous vicuñas and the other side of the volcanoes of Arequipa.
  • Second stop: Police station where a passengers list will be given to them.
  • Third stop: El Chino Restaurant, where you can use the bathrooms, drink a coca tea - good for stomach and altitude - and a place where you can appreciate the stone wood formations.
  • Fourth stop: a place where you can see llamas and alpacas domesticated by the man in the heights.
  • Fifth stop: the highest point called Patapampa, 4800 meters above sea level. Here you can observe 8 volcanoes forming a circle of tire.

From there, you descent until the main town Chivay to have lunch and to rest in your hotel. You have time off after lunch, visit the market of Chivay, rest or stay in the hotel. In the afternoon you visit the hot springs of LA CALERA, where you can bathe in one of the pools with water temperature of 35 to 40 degrees Celsius and in the source 80 degrees Celsius. You return to your hotel at night and optional you visit sorne folkloric peñas in the town of Chivay.

Day 07: Chivay - Cruz del Cóndor - Arequipa

After breakfast at 6.00 am you leave to the Condor Cross at 6.30 am, where you can observe the Canyon of the Colea and the flight of the Condor. From Chivay it is approximately one hour and a half driving. You'II stay there about 1 hour. Taking the same road back to Chivay, you visit the Colea towns Yanque, with its beautiful church and Maca with its interesting geological problem, the lookout points Huayrapunko - a complete view of the terraces and the mysterious lagoons of the valley - Quehuisha - ice melts originated from the Amazons.

Finally you arrive in Chivay, where you'II have lunch and after that you return to Arequipa, approximately at 17.00 to 18.00 pm.

Day 08: Arequipa - Juliaca - Puno

Transfer to the airport. Fligth to Juliaca. Visit to Sillustani chullpas. Accomodation in Casa Andina Hotel Puno.

Day 09: Titicaca Lake

The Floating lslands of the Uros are one of the world's most unique attractions. The Aymaraspeaking inhabitants, 'Kot-suna' or people of the lake, are descended from one of America's oldest civilisations, and retain the odd lifestyle of their ancestors. The islands themselves are made of 'totora,, a reed which grows in abundance in the shallower waters of the lake. The islanders' houses and boats are also made of 'totora· and are rebuilt as son as they begin to rot. Taquile is an island where time seems to have stopped. lts Quechuaspeaking inhabitants are descended directly from the Empire of the Sun and retain their old customs and lifestyle, leading a collective, communal existence in harmony with Mother Earth.

Taquile possesses beautiful scenery, with particularly fine views of Titicaca Lake, as well as its own unique craftwork, woven and knitted products, dances, music and other traditions.

Day 10: Puno - Cusco

At 07:30 hrs. You will take a tourist bus and visit Pucara museum, Raqchi ruins, Andahuaylillas church. Arrive to Cusca at 17:00 hrs.

Day 11 : Cusco

City tour starting at 14:00 h. visiting: Temple of the Sun or Qorikancha, The Cathedral, ruins Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay. This tour lasts of 4 hours approximately.

Day 12: Sacred Valley

Boarding bus in Cusco. You will visit market and ruins of Pisaq, Calca, Urubamba, the ruins of Ollantaytambo, and the market at Chinchero. Of course, throughout this trip you will have magnificent views of the high Peruvian Andes. Arriving back to the hotel at 19:00 h.

Day 13: Cusco - Machupicchu - Cusco

We leave at 6:35 am from the hotel to the station to take the train, which will take us until Aguas Calientes. Guided visit to Machupicchu.

Machupicchu, the legendary "Lost City of the Incas", was so well hidden by the overgrowth that it was never found by the "Conquistadores", and it was rediscovered by professor Hiram in 1911. This city is one of the worlds most beautiful and important archaeological remains.

Descend to Aguas Calientes town. Return to Cusco by train. Accomodation in Casa Andina Hotel Cusco.

Day 14: Cusco or Aguas Calientes

Day 15: Cusco - Lima

Transfer to the Cusco Airport. Domestic flight to Lima. lnternational flight.
